I am 41. Every week a stranger refuses to believe it, and then asks what I use. The truth is that I am not lucky. I inherited habits.
My grandmother sold shea butter by the calabash at a market outside Thiès. My aunties in Dakar had rules about the sun, about sugar, about sleep, about what touches your face, and they had them long before anyone put those rules in a serum. When I moved to the States I watched women spend a fortune on shelves of products and get worse skin, and I watched women back home ruin their faces with bleaching creams. Both of those made me angry enough to write this.
212 secrets, numbered. Each one tells you where it comes from, what is really happening in the skin, exactly what to do, the mistake that undoes it, when to close the book and see a dermatologist, and what to track so you know it is working.
And every single one carries an honest tag. Strong science. Promising, not settled. Or tradition, thin science, and I do it anyway because it is lovely. You will always know which one you are reading.
This is a book of habits and honest science, written by a Senegalese woman for women with melanin rich skin first. Most of it serves every woman over 35. It is education, not medical advice. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it will send you to a dermatologist the moment something hurts, bleeds, spreads, or scars.
There is nothing to buy from me inside it. No supplements. No miracle serum. And never, under any circumstances, anything that lightens skin tone. If you are looking for that, this is the wrong book, and I hope you read the chapter on what those creams do anyway.
Will this make me look 25?
No. Nothing will, and the people who say otherwise are selling something. What it will do is stop you wasting money and hurting your skin, and start the handful of habits that genuinely change a face over years: sun, barrier, sleep, sugar, the right active, and not picking.
I have lighter skin. Is this for me?
It is written for deep skin tones first, because that is the skin nobody writes for honestly. Where the advice differs for lighter skin, the card says so in one line. Most of the book is for everyone.
Do I need to buy expensive products?
No. There is a $15 routine in the book that beats most $300 shelves, and a shopping list with honest prices. The one thing I will not let you skip is sunscreen.
Is the science real?
Every secret is tagged: strong science, promising, or tradition. When the science is thin, the card says so plainly and tells you why I do it anyway. There are no invented studies in this book.
Do I have to read 440 pages?
Please don't. Use the worry index, find your problem, read two pages, try one secret for four weeks. Or start the 28 Day Reset with the tracker.
What format is it?
PDF, plus six printable bonus PDFs. Instant download after purchase, readable on any phone, tablet, or computer.
What if it's not for me?
15 days, full refund, no questions asked.
Do Week 1 of the Glow Reset, the Barrier Week. It costs nothing new. If your skin is not calmer, softer, and less ashy by the end of it, ask for every penny back within 15 days.
With love, from Dakar to wherever you are. Khady
